Saying Good-bye To August and Hello September !

 We are quickly moving through August, we will welcome September on Wednesday! We will be having loads of fun in September. We will have an apple tasting day, we will make apple prints, and we will make some kind of dessert with apples. The students will learn about Johnny Appleseed. The month of September brings on Fall. We hope to see cooler days a head.

Keep reading those books my awesome first graders. We have reading books now! Please try to get the Reading Homework done each night. We will be learning about Family and the different people who are in our families. We will also work on the different types of homes and places to live.

My first graders are hard workers. I am so thankful for all of them.

First Full Week

The first graders are awesome! The first full week is almost over and the first graders are doing a wonderful job at doing their assignments.The students went"specials"this week. They had P.E., Library, Art and they have Music tomorrow. The class had so much fun, they love the "specials". The students want their parents to know that the classroom gets kind cold. Please send a light jacket or sweater. 

We  had our fist Spelling Test today and everyone who took the test made 100!!! I am so proud of them.  No Spelling homework for the ones who made 100! I put the first Fact family in the Homework folders. Please help them memorize these addition facts. We will start the next family in few weeks. We will start one of the Reading books soon. The class is ready to read a real story.
