The students in the first grade are almost Second graders, they are awesome students! The class has been working hard in all of the subjects!
In English the students have been working on Complete Sentences and Fragments. They are working on improving their sentence writing. The class loves writing in their Journals. We are on learning more about how to write a better sentence.
In Science we are learning about plants, trees, and flowers. We will be planting flowers and vegetables in the next few weeks.
Math is getting really exciting for our class. They are learning how to add 3 digit numbers and subtract with 3 digit numbers.
Please don't forget we have snack at 8:00 every morning. Please send water with your child they are very thirsty after Recess and P.E. Please send a raincoat, so the they don't get wet. They have to walk from building to building for lunch and our specials.

We will have an Easter Party, I will send a list of things to bring for the party soon.
Our Easter Break begins on Friday, April 15 and we will return to school on Monday, April 25.
