ALMOST SUMMER

Good morning First Graders !
This year has ended differently than I could ever imagine, but you guys were SUPER-MAN - AWESOME! I am so amazed by the TEAM- WORK that the STUDENTS, PARENTS, TEACHERS, F-3 CONNECTION, and THE REST OF THE STAFF AT LEE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. We all worked together and WE DID IT!!! This class is so wonderful! They are great students and I know that their teachers next year will be amazed by the hard work you can do together to get the job done!
Please don't forget to drop off all your work and your Science book, Health book, and History book.
You will need to drop off these items at the LCS elementary building on Thursday May 28, 2020 from 9:00 - 2:00 pm.
I can't say thank you enough for all the wonderful things you have done for me through out the year!! You guys are such a wonderful class. I love you and I will miss you next year!
LAST ASSIGNMENT
Tell me what you liked about First Grade. You can tell me about one thing or many things. You will need to write 4 sentences or more. You can draw a picture or you can draw many pictures.

A TROPICAL THURSDAY
IT'S THURSDAY!
Today is Thursday, May 21, 2020
Good morning First Graders!
1. Reading - After you have read the book After Dark at Epic Reading; You can write 3 or 4 sentences and 1 picture to tell about the book or you can Draw 3 or 4 pictures and 1 sentence to tell me about the book. This assignment is due Wednesday May 27, 2020.
2. Math - Do one of the Math Review sheets.
3. Health - Read page 36 in the Health book. Draw a picture of your room after you clean the room and put away your toys. Write one or two sentences telling how you cleaned your room: Made the bed, vacuumed the floor or swept the floor, and put away your toys.
I am so proud of all of you! You have worked so hard to complete your school work. I know that Mrs. Reece will be happy to see what AWESOME students you are next year! I love you and I miss teaching you in the classroom. I thank God each day that we are able to have Zoom Class together!

1. Reading - After you have read the book: Write a story about one the animals in the book. Have a picture of the animal. You can draw a picture of the animal or find one in a magazine, online, or other places.
2. Math - Do one of the Math Review sheets.
3. Health - Read pages 34 -35 in your Health book. Write one or two sentences about taking care of your clothes or Draw a picture of you with one of your favorite outfits on and write one sentence about it.
4. History - Sanford, North Carolina is the home of your school and most of you live in Sanford. Look online or in books and find information on the History of Sanford. Draw a picture of the one of the Historic Places or another place found in Sanford. Write two or three sentences telling about the place you have chosen. (San-Lee Park, Temple Theatre, Old Gilliam Mill Park, White Pines Nature Preserve, Depot Park, Tobacco Road Golf Club, Sanford Antique Mall, or something your would see on the Historic downtown walking tour in Sanford.) This assignment is due Tuesday May 26, 2020.
I am so thankful to work with wonderful families that God blessed our school with this school year. Keep working hard First Graders, you are almost Second Graders.

1. Reading - Be ready to discuss the Frog and Friends book in Zoom class. ( Frog and Friends - Celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. Your new book assignment is read After Dark.
2. Spelling - Put the following word in each row in A-B-C:
A. Summer, after, family, zoo
B. Fall, swimming, apple, wall
C. Winter, beach, snow, home
D. Spring, play, zebra, baseball
3. Math - Do one of the review sheets.
4. Health - read pages 28-29 Write one important things that your nose can do to help save someone from getting hurt in a house fire. Draw a picture to go with your sentence or sentences,. (1or 2)
5. Journal - the topic for today is Dear Journal, I don't like rainy weather because.
Make sure you write at least 4 sentences. Telling me why you don't like the rain. If you like the rainy weather you can tell why you like. Tell me what you can do on a rainy, or you can tell me what you can't to do on a rainy day. If you would like to you can tell why the rain is so important for our world. Please draw a picture, showing why you do or don't like the rainy weather.
On Wednesday May 20, you can drop your completed work off at Lee Christian School. I will be there at 9:00 until 3:00. (Students will need to turn in all of the work they have completed. I will be using these grades for the last grading quarter.)
